Dr. Jenice Thompson

Dr. Jenice Thompson has spent the last 15 years showcasing her diverse experience and expertise across various professional roles. Her extensive background has revolved significantly around foster care, where she poured a decade of her career into a multitude of roles. Her journey in this field reached its pinnacle as she assumed the responsibilities of Director of Project Operations and Regional Director of Therapeutic Foster Care. Throughout this time, her unwavering commitment to enhancing the lives of children and families within the foster care system has been evident through her dedicated service and exemplary leadership.

 

Beyond her work in foster care, Dr. Thompson has actively engaged in board memberships and volunteered her time to support individuals in need. Her consistent willingness to extend a helping hand and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others has been a defining thread in her professional odyssey.

 

At present, she serves as an Assistant Professor in the  Master of Social Work department on a tenure track at Limestone University, where she also actively participates on several boards. Dr. Thompson's influence extends as she takes on the role of an adjunct professor at multiple universities, leveraging her expertise to educate and inspire the next generation of professionals within her field. Simultaneously, she takes great pride in being the owner and operator of Well InTensions, LLC, a venture dedicated to offering holistic mental health and wellness services tailored specifically to the BIPOC community. Through her business, she diligently works to provide culturally sensitive and inclusive support, fostering overall well-being.

 

Dr. Thompson's multifaceted background, which encompasses leadership, education, and entrepreneurship, is a testament to her passion for creating positive change and leaving a lasting impact on her community. Armed with a wealth of experience and an unwavering dedication to her work, she continues to be an invaluable asset in the realms of social systems, academia, and holistic wellness.
